Nicole is a highly skilled specialist with a passion for emergency and critical care and a wealth of experience in the field.

Nicole graduated in 2005 from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. In 2006, she completed an internship in emergency and critical care at Animal Accident and Emergency in Melbourne. 

After achieving membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in emergency and critical care in 2010, Nicole commenced her residency in emergency and critical care at Animal Accident and Emergency. She then worked in the Pet Intensive Care Unit at Veterinary Specialist Services/Animal Emergency Service in Brisbane in 2016-2017, before returning to Melbourne to work as a Senior Registrar at the Animal Referral Hospital. Nicole achieved Fellowship of the ANZCVS in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care in 2021 and is a Registered Specialist in Veterinary Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. 

Nicole has published papers in the scientific literature on mechanical ventilation in dogs and cats in Australia, snake envenomation and lactate measurement in cats. She is currently a reviewer for the Australian Veterinary Practitioner and has presented at multiple veterinary conferences on various topics related to emergency and critical care. She enjoys all aspects of emergency and critical care but particularly sepsis patients, mechanical ventilation and trauma cases. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys gardening, art and spending time with her husband and furry family.
