About us Meet the team Dr Marjorie Milne
Marjorie is a Specialist Radiologist and former mixed veterinary practitioner in Western Victoria. With extensive experience in teaching and research, Marjorie values contributing to the field and has held leadership roles in the ANZCVS Radiology Chapter.
Marjorie hails from the Western District of Victoria and has a background as a mixed veterinary practitioner in both Gippsland and Geelong. She underwent further training to become a Specialist Radiologist through the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in 2010.
Marjorie worked at the University of Melbourne for 12 years where she had the opportunity to work with a wide range of species and advanced imaging equipment, including Australia’s first dedicated veterinary high-field-strength MRI machine. During her time there, she trained eight residents in radiology, taught veterinary students about radiology and ultrasound, and authored online veterinary imaging course modules.
In 2018, Marjorie completed a PhD on canine epilepsy and has supervised several research Masters students. With over 24 scientific publications and numerous conference presentations, Marjorie values contributing to the profession through evidence-based practices and training others. She has held leadership roles in the ANZCVS Radiology Chapter, including time as Chapter President.
Marjorie is now a part of the dynamic team at GARS and is looking forward to serving the pet owning community in Geelong and the wider Western Victorian area. In her spare time, Marjorie enjoys downtime with her family, which includes a Labrador, Rhodesian Ridgeback, and three chickens.
