About us   Meet the team   Dr Caitlin Tzounos

Caitlin is a recent graduate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons and specialist in thoracic and urinary surgery, as well as portosystemic shunts and reconstructive procedures.

Caitlin graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009 and worked for three years in a combination of mixed and small animal practice, during which time she knew she wanted to specialise. Caitlin then moved to the UK and undertook a rotating internship at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals at the RVC, before returning to Australia. Caitlin also worked at the University of Melbourne as an anatomy demonstrator and tutor.

Caitlin moved to the UK (again!) and started her residency in 2018 at Dick White Referrals. She successfully sat her specialist board exams in February 2022 and officially became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Caitlin has a particular interest in thoracic and urinary surgery, as well as portosystemic shunts, and reconstructive procedures.

In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys travelling, hiking, cycling and board games.
